Using Smart Phones in School

I personally believe that smart phones was the best hand held peice of technology. it was a great innovation and changed your life's for the better. These devices are not only cell phones but there handle computer gps have accesses to internet and whole series of capabilities.


Some schools are taking a new approch on the way there students learn. Teachers and professors have invested in programs that can be installed on there phone and can complete there assignments that was giving to them. On the iphone there is a app called iwork and with this program students have a calender, organizer, reminders and loads of loads of useful tools. Idea like these will allow us to progress in move forward to a better tomorrow one can only imagine what kind of smart phones we will have 10 years from now. Phones may projector holographic screens we could call some one just by thinking about them.

Some may argue that smart phones are horrible and to complicated and the worst technology ever. Phones like the iphone and Google android phones change people lives everyday and actually makes our life better. There are so many apps for any and everything you can possibly think of. We can see the weather, news and even watch live tv on our smart phones. You can download apps that can give you instructions on how to cook food directions to and address and much more.

How can you use both visual and audio fade effects to enhance your projects?

You can use it because some people auditory learners and others are visual leaners and if you can incorporate that in your project it would be great.

How do yo think the sound track effects the effectiveness of a movie or podcast?

I think movies are more effective because they show you the message or point that is trying to be made. songs and podcast is more talking hen actual visual.

What do you think are the differences and similarities of an enhanced podcast and a presentation slideshow?

i think they both are similar in a way because they both display and show information that you are trying to get across.
Word of the Day: Enhanced podcast is an audio podcast that can display images simultaneously with audio. These can contain chapter markers, hyperlinks, and artwork; all of which is synced to a specific program or device.

Why do you think it is important to make sure that there is enough time to read the words and look at the images of your slide slow?

it is important because it gives you a chance to revise and to catch any mistakes you may have made over the course of time. Second time you go over something you will catch something you never notice before.


Word of the Day: Timing (Synchronization) is timekeeping which requires the coordination of events to operate a system in unison. For example: The words, sound and images of a slide show happen when they need to.

Do you think that you should always use a design template when creating a presentation? Why? Do you think it is acceptable to use different design templates in the same presentaion? Why?

Yes i do think you should design templates because it gives your presentation more organization and it shows you know to work the computer programs. You can use different templates for different presentation so you should just use them to your judgment .



Word of the Day: Design templates are a coordinated packaged deal. When you decorate a room, you use colors and patterns that all work together. A design template acts in much the same way.

How do you think you can use Slide Animations to help the viewer of a slide show read and understand a presentation? How can animations make a presentation more interesting and effective?


It will grab the readers attention and willl cause them to be more focus on wat u have to say. If your presentation is boring people will loose interest in your presentation. Thats why you must add animations and transitions to make it more interesting .

Why do you think it is important to listen carefully when someone is speaking? How do you feel when you are trying to speak and someone is not paying attention or constantly interrupting you?

It is very important to listen careful to people when they talk to u because they can tell you something that can save your life. People get hurt or put in a bad predicament because they did not follow directions or did not listen carefully when they were getting addressed


Word of the Day: Slide transitions are the visual movements as one slide changes to another. Many different slide transitions are available in programs such as Keynote, PowerPoint or OpenOffice Impress.

How do you think Plagiarism and Copyrights are similar and how are they different? Why is Plagiarism wrong (illegal)?

They are similar because they both have to deal with copy someones or somethings work. It is wrong beacuse your copying someones hard work that u did not even work on. Most of the time when people copy there essay sound to good for there own words .

Do you think the new Metal Detectors make Campus High School safer? Is the inconvenience worth of these Metal Detectors worth making the school safer? Or are they a waste of time?

No these metal detectors does not make our school safer.They are worthless and an expensive piece of equipment. Why are they spending all this money on nonsense when the money can be put towards towards better books and equipment that will help our learning

the reason for these smart phones is to have an alternative route of learning. students may want to get involved in the subject if they are able to use things that they can relate to to assist them in there learning careers

Why do you think that these is a policy against using electronic devices such as smartphones in the at Campus High School? Do you agree or disagree with this policy? Why?

They dont trust us they think that were going to use them for the wrong reasons . they see it as a distraction and not seeing it as an alternative learning route

Even though they know it it is risky, why do you think that people open email attachments from unknown sources? What could happen when you open email attachments from unknown sources?

People open emails from untrusted sources because they want the information. Some people don't care where it came from they just open the information up little do they know that information can harm there computer

What do you think are the most dangerous or risky things people do online? How can these be avoided?

People can do ilegal things like advertise bad and harmful things. people may hack other people accounts and computer and it just an inconvenience for everyone.

Do you think that it is important for schools to have Internet access? Why?

Yes it is very important for schools to have internet because of the amount of work they can get done. The internet is a place where hundreds of millions of information can be accessed. the internet is the school if not better because it has more resources

I think this is wonderfull because it would encourage students to wnt to be full time students. it also ut will be a great component to there education. they will be able to do the research that they need to with the ibook or ipad

How will New Jersey budget cuts affect public schools?
Do you think the cuts in state aid to schools in New Jersey will effect the quality of education? How will these cuts effect the use of technology for education?


it will affect us in a way that will hurt our eduction and our learning environment . My school is suffering because we don't have any money to have new books and new equipment and a lot of teachers loose hope and don't care anymore. New jersey had to lay off many of people which lead to families financially suffering .
